The "demoiselle" is a sort of dragonfly found in the Médoc. Like the dragonfly, this wine of the same name is light and elegant. Tight and linear with berry and citrus character. Black fruits are joined by a cooling freshness, a medium body and a clean finish. Pretty second wine from Sociando. Good value with some lovely crunchy fruit. Award: 90/100 by James Suckling

Brilliant red colour, combining the generosity of Saint Emilion and the richness of Pomerol – an appellation that borders on the estate. The bouquet is redolent of ripe fruit along with subtle notes of spice, truffle, liquorice, pepper, and forest floor. The wine starts out very straightforward, going on to show roundness, body, silky tannin, and great precision. It features a long, full final showing very pleasant sensation of plenitude.

Floral in nature, with a juicy, red and black plum and truffle character, soft tannins and sufficient freshness, medium bodied, red berries in the final.
