This is an iconic Italian amaretto liqueur (approx. 28% alcohol) from Saronno, Lombardy, and one of the most famous sweet liqueurs in the world. Amaretto literally means "a little bitter" and has a distinctive nutty, marzipan flavor with sweet notes of vanilla and caramel—often based on apricot kernels and spices instead of real almonds.
Used in desserts such as tiramisu, on ice cream or fruit, and sometimes even in sauces.
