Beautiful, clear, golden yellow color. Exotic aromas of melon, baked apple, pineapple and soft spices. Fine hints of flowers, honey and a hint of caramel. Nice balance between lush fruit and more wood driven aromas like oak and vanilla. In the finish, this balance between ripe fruit and more complex flavors continues. An final that lingers on the pallet for a long time.
His culinary and slightly sultry style makes him a tasteful partner with richly spiced dishes such as Mediterranean fish, fish dishes with an oriental accent, spicy curries and chicken dishes.
- climate
-
Continental climate that is dry and very warm in winter as well as in summer. In some places almost desert. So irrigation is almost required. Due to the high temperatures, the grapes remain smaller than elsewhere and give more concentration to the wine.
- soil
-
Sandy soils with slightly more granite and pebbly sandstone in the higher vineyards.
- vinification
-
Picked in the cool of the night. Gentle pressing of whole bunches of grapes. Fermentation in large wooden casks, after which the wine rests further in cement vats on its Lie (dregs). The wine is then bottled in November of the same year.
