climate

Temperate Mediterranean climate, with a strong maritime influence, due to the proximity of the Pacific Ocean and Maipo river. The mist in the early hours of the day assures low temperatures which dissipate later on, opening to higher temperatures, regulated by the coastal breezes in the afternoon.

Piedmont soils: broken up granite with a clay/loam texture

vinification

Grapes are handpicked, followed by a meticulous second selection of the grapes on the sorting table. Cold prefermentative maceration takes 8 days in stainless steel tanks,. Alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts is folled, with an extra 8 to 10 days of skincontact in the end. 80% of the wine ages in French and American oak, and this for a period of 10-12 months.
