Deep red colour with violet highlights. An intense nose of blackberry and dry leaves with a spicy touch. Smooth mouth entry; medium bodied, very well balanced.
Warm temperate climate with a Mediterranean rainfall regime and a wide range between daytime and nighttime temperatures, resulting from the proximity of the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountains. The coastal breezes during the afternoon help to keep summer temperatures moderate.
The terroir where these vines are growing, is characterized by deep, loam-clay soils.
Manual harvest. Short maceration period of 10 days. Fermentation starts with active dry yeast at a constant temperature of 25-28 degrees Celsius. The wine is conserved on its lees in stainless steel vats for two to three months before blending and bottling.
