2020 Claroscuro Uco Valley - Bodega de Arte Gran Pinot Noir 0.75 Ltr. Tinto
picture of

Light, clear color with garnet red tones. Controlled intensity and a lot of elegance. Pinot Noir with a lot of structure, fraîcheur and finesse. Dominated by cherries, white fruits and delicate herbs. The controlled maturation of wood certainly gives added value and results in a Pinot Noir with considerable storage potential.

Summery light meat dishes, veal, (game) poultry, charcuterie and soft cheeses. Could be served chilled as an alternative to white.

climate

The summers are hot and dry and can reach 40° C. But the nights easily cool 15-20 ° so that the wines remain refreshing and elegant. Winters are moderate and the protection of the Andes rarely causes night frost. Irrigation with melt water.

soil

Single vineyard located in Vista Flores (Tunuyán) at 1054m altitude. Sandy soils with a lot of loam in the higher parts and more stone and boulders in the lower parts.

vinification

The grapes are picked in 2 different times at different locations in the vineyard. Long cold maceration of 3 days at 12° C. Fermentation in cement ovoid vats at 22-25° C. Gently extraction to not destroy the delicate taste. 12 months aging in French oak after which it rests for another 9 months in the bottle.
